Here's a random thought from someone you barely know: it's surprising how important little things can be. Don't you think?

It seemed like the sort of thing you might understand. A risky guess, perhaps, but one that worked out.
Almost everyone in my rover is gone. You can probably pin the rest together from that.

Thumper? That's a madu?
[Yeah, he hasn't heard about your pet, Elena. His good mood has dropped a notch or two.]

July, really? Who's taking care of him?
[He's seen the helpless-seeming doll, but hasn't spoken with him. It's complicated.]

November's still in stasis. Anders will have it in hand, though. He's a good man.
I suppose I ought to talk to him at some point. I'm nervous with children.

You don't like Anders? I know he can be prickly, but he's been frightfully good to me.
[Until Simon yelled at him and called him an irresponsible bastard. They patched it up, probably.]
But yes, November's in stasis. Starting to worry about him, to tell you the truth. You won't tell anyone, right?

I don't think anything can happen to you while you're in there. That's rather the point.
You like rabbits, though? Really?
[He's pleased. A vampire with a bunny? It's validating his suspicion that there's more to her than that terrifying label.]

CALLING: CARTER, MARGARET
No, I assure you, I'm not. [It's true. Her voice is calm with a hint of reassurance, which Elena seems to need.]
The message was more for his sake than yours. Sometimes he can become so focused on helping others... [She trails off, not feeling the need to finish the statement.] He told me enough about it for me to understand. I like to think I've pegged you as the type not to do this unless necessary, which as you stated, it was.
From what I know of the others present, you were right in choosing him.

Things happen, don't torment yourself over it. We've all done similar at one point or another.
[Elena can hear Peggy exhale, a little in relief and amusement.]
If it's tomorrow, he should be fine once more. For him, I believe it was similar to donating blood. You'd know better than the rest of us how that would affect normal humans. We don't know what else may happen, so this is the most sensible option.
[Peggy pauses in regards to her last question, choosing her words carefully.] I'll admit, it startled me. However, he's capable of handling it. I don't want anything to happen to you, either.

Do whatever works best for yourself, Elena. We've made it this far, it wouldn't be fair of me to question your judgment now. [It's as reassuring as she'll get without being asked.]
If there's anything I'm able to do, let me know.
